Davido faces further trouble as he agrees to pay N30 million to Amaju Pinnick in a N2.3 billion lawsuit. Additionally, he is obligated to perform at the ‘Warri Again’ concert.
Nigerian singer Davido, also known as David Adedeji Adeleke, has agreed to settle a breach of contract lawsuit filed by Brownhill Investment Company Limited, led by Amaju Pinnick, out of court.
Davido will pay N30 million to the claimant as part of the agreement, contributing to legal fees. The payment is due within seven days of settling the terms.
In February, a Delta State High Court rejected Davido’s request to halt proceedings in the N2 billion lawsuit related to the ‘Warri Again Concert.’
Brownhill Investment Company Limited claimed Davido agreed to perform at their event but instead attended another in Australia.
The claimant seeks N2 billion in damages and N150 million for legal expenses. Davido’s counsel withdrew their motion for a stay of proceedings.
The court affirmed that proceedings would continue until an order from the Court of Appeal intervenes. Pre-Trial Conference forms must be filed within 14 days. The case resumes on March 21, 2024.
