A fresh controversy has brewed between Nigerian YouTuber Korty EO and superstar Davido’s team over an unreleased interview. Korty, a content creator known for her no-holds-barred interviews, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her frustration after being told she couldn’t post a video interview she recorded with Davido.
According to Korty, the team initially gave her the green light, even asking her to re-edit the footage, only to later backtrack with no clear explanation. This unexpected shift left Korty annoyed and ready to vent.
In a series of tweets, Korty didn’t hold back, pointing out her commitment to her audience and calling out celebrities who waste her time by backing out after recording interviews.
“They agreed that I should re-edit this video and now have said I must not post it, for reasons I still don’t understand,” she tweeted.
“I’m not afraid of anyone, but I know when to pick my battles.” She added that if artists aren’t comfortable with being their true selves, they shouldn’t bother coming on her show, expressing frustration over what she saw as insincere commitments.
Despite her disappointment, Korty also acknowledged the support of her fans.
“It’s beautiful that the greats recognize me, but maybe my approach is too intense for some, and that’s okay. We’ll just keep it moving.”
Her posts resonated with her followers, but not everyone agreed. One user, @swagpriest1, questioned Korty’s reaction, accusing her of acting as if Davido’s team begged her for the interview, when she was actually the one who initiated it.
Korty, however, was quick to clap back, clarifying that Davido’s team reached out to her, and adding, “You can’t relate because all you’ve ever done is beg and tweet like the ignorant fool you are.”
The online spat highlights the challenges content creators often face when working with celebrities and teams who may have last-minute changes, leaving creators to handle the fallout with their audiences.
