‘It Was to Teach Her a Lesson’ — Suspect Speaks on Ex-OGTV Broadcaster’s Killing

The Ogun State Police Command has disclosed a shocking confession from the prime suspect in the murder of former OGTV broadcaster Kitan Oyesiku and her security guard, Pelumi Adetayo.

According to the police, the suspect admitted that he allegedly masterminded the murder plot simply to “teach her a lesson.”

State Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni revealed these breakthroughs during a Thursday press conference at the command’s headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

As previously reported by PUNCH, detectives initially launched their investigation into the tragic fatalities after a vigilant resident flagged highly suspicious activity at the deceased’s residence.

Upon arriving at the property, police investigators allegedly uncovered clear signs of a violent disturbance and forced entry, according to details obtained by our correspondent.

Detectives eventually located Oyesiku’s body inside her apartment, while search teams reportedly discovered the security guard’s corpse inside the property’s security post. As the investigation deepened, police successfully tracked down Kitan’s previously missing Lexus RX300.

Providing a critical update on the breakthrough, Commissioner Bode Ojajuni revealed that a handwritten note recovered from inside the vehicle served as the definitive clue that solved the crime.
