Project summary
Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) is an indigenous nonprofit institution that works to accelerate positive health, social, and economic reforms through high-quality program design and implementation, capacity building, implementation science research, and knowledge generation, as well as agenda-setting and stakeholder convening across human development sectors. Our work seeks to benefit primarily disadvantaged and under-served populations. We implement transformation programs in Nigeria and are currently expanding our footprint to several West and Central African countries.
Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) will be working as part of a coordination of organizations under the leadership of the GPEI on a national response to stop the transmission of Polio in an African country.
Role summary
The objective of this consultancy is to engage suitable, qualified, and skilled experienced polio campaign personnel to support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of the campaigns. The successful consultant will play a critical role in contributing to the effectiveness and impact of the initiatives to improve the quality of campaigns by implementing robust planning and coordination systems at the national and sub-national levels, assisting in data analysis, and facilitating knowledge transfer.He/She will be involved in the day-to-day management of all campaign workflows with a focus on planning, coordination, and data analysis. He/she will primarily work under the leadership of the national GPEI coordinator. However, He/She can be deployed to provide support at the sub-national level under the supervision of a provincial GPEI coordinator. The Consultant will also be responsible for providing regular campaign updates to his/her line managers and supporting to improvement of the quality of the interventions and campaign deliverables.

Education & Experience
– Relevant graduate-level degree (International Development, Applied Sciences, and Technology, Policy and Strategy Development, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Management, or similarly relevant field;
– At least two (2) years’ country experience with supporting planning and implementation of disease outbreak responses (Polio, Measles, Cholera, etc.).
