The federal government has declared Good Friday and Easter Monday as public holidays on Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21.
On Tuesday in Abuja, Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo made this revelation in a statement.

The Minister, who made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulated Christians nationwide on this happy occasion.
Tunji-Ojo stressed the need of emulating the qualities of love and sacrifice exhibited by Jesus Christ, who had to die in order to save humanity.
The minister asked Nigerians to pray for the country’s stability, peace, and unity over the holiday season.
He asserted that President Bola Tinubu was dedicated to the Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to support the development and expansion of the country.
Additionally, Tunji-Ojo urged Nigerians to show their neighbors love and goodwill by being generous and kind to them.

He sent heartfelt holiday greetings to all Nigerians and congratulated all Christians, wishing them a joyous Easter celebration.
The Easter season is a time when Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
