OLD HABITS DIE HARD: Elon Musk Still Calls X ‘Twitter’—Oops!
In the conversation, the owner of X was joining another account praising DOGE, an advisory body on government efficiency led by Musk, for its attempt to reduce the federal workforce.
Over this weekend, Musk advised federal employees to submit a report of their work accomplishments for the week of Aug 14 by Monday if they wished to stay.
A government official soon afterward told federal employees that these performance reports were optional.
“It worked for Twitter,” said the account Musk replied to.
This is not the first instance Musk has called X by its former name Twitter, and it will not be the last one.
Even Elon Musk forgets sometimes that X is not Twitter.
Do you sometimes call X Twitter? That is cool.
Even Musk, himself, who rebranded Twitter as X, calls the social media site he now owns Twitter.
In a post on X Monday, Musk commented: “Twitter added far more features with fewer people.”
