Celebrity crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, commonly known as Bobrisky, has been reportedly arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
This arrest was disclosed to the public by social media activist, Martin Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan via an Instagram post today, 21st October, 2024.
According to VDM, Bobrisky was apprehended by NIS officers while trying to escape during an ongoing investigation by the House of Representatives over bribery allegations involving the crossdresser and officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
VDM said; “Bobrisky was arrested this morning at Seme Border Post on his way to escape to Benin Republic, He sent someone to help him sign his international passport and hid in the car, the Nigerian Immigration is currently holding him.”
He added; “Bobrisky has been @rrzted this morning at the seme border while trying to enter BENIN REPUBLIC to escape the current investigation by the house of reps,he is allegedly being held be the Nigeria immigration…MAKE WE WAIT FOR BOB TO DEBUNK💀 Cho Cho Cho.”
The NIS eventually broke its silence on the arrest of convicted cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky.
Admitting that Bobrisky was arrested at the Seme Border while trying to flee the country.
Service Public Relations Officer SPRO, DCI Kenneth Udo had this to say; “In keeping with its commitment to securing the borders, the NIS intercepted Bobrisky at the Seme Border over an attempt to exit the country.
“The Service wishes to inform the public that Okuneye Idris is a person of interest over recent issues of public concern. He is undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate Authorities for further action.
“The Service assures the public that it will continue to be civil and professional in its statutory responsibility of manning the Country’s Borders”.
Meanwhile, photos are going viral on Instagram and Twitter which have been alleged to be the photos of Bobrisky when he was arrested by the officers of the Nigerian Immigration.
