Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor and a governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State ahead of the 2027 elections, has announced his withdrawal from the race.
He made the announcement on Thursday while addressing journalists, leaders of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, and his supporters at Liberty House, Adeniyi Jones Secretariat in Ikeja.
According to him, the decision followed recent political developments within the party, including a meeting involving President Bola Tinubu and the state Deputy Governor.

Jandor noted that shortly after he obtained his nomination form, reports emerged that the President had endorsed the Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat.
He explained that, based on his earlier commitment to align with the President’s direction, he chose to step down from the governorship contest.
Jandor withdrawal effectively reshapes the political landscape within the APC in Lagos as preparations for the 2027 elections continue.
