JUST IN: On Friday, WAEC will start computer-based testing.

The second series of the West African Examinations Council’s (WAEC) computer-based senior school certificate exam for private candidates in 2024 will start on Friday, October 25 and run through Friday, December 20, 2024.

Its spokeswoman, Moyosola Adesina,

Revealed this in a statement on Tuesday. The council announced that the exam would be administered using a hybrid format and that the registration time has been extended to Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

According to the statement, the test will be administered using a hybrid mode, meaning that while the essay and practical questions will also be presented on-screen, candidates will still need to use the provided answer booklets to provide their answers, while the objective or multiple-choice questions will be displayed on-screen and candidates will be required to respond on-screen.

In the meantime, applicants who might want to complete the entire exam in paper and pen mode now have that option thanks to the examination diet.

In light of this, the Council would like to notify all prospective applicants that the registration deadline has been moved to Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Likewise, the “Walk-in-Candidate”

Option will be available at the conclusion of registration for applicants who register 24 hours prior to the deadline for the specific paper they have selected. It is possible to acquire the final test schedule from the WAEC Nigeria website.

It stated that all registered and prospective candidates should utilize the many educational materials offered by the Council.

“All registered and intending candidates are encouraged to utilize the many educational resources offered by the Council,” the statement continued. The WAEC e-Study platform, the WAEC Past Questions and Answers books, and the WAECKonnect site, where candidates can connect with one another, are some of them.

“WAEC wishes every applicant luck in the test.

The Council will constantly look for methods to carry out its mandate by utilizing technology advancements to make its services easily available to all parties involved.
