#OndoDecides2024: 13 LGs ahead with Ayedatiwa
According to the results of Saturday’s governorship election, Lucky Ayedatiwa, the governor of Ondo State and the All Progressives Congress candidate, is now ahead in 13 local government districts.
Around 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, the State Returning Officer for the election and the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University in Lokoja, Kogi State, officially commenced the state collation procedure.
Ayedatiwa won all 13 of the local government areas that have been announced thus far, including Idanre Local Hovernment, the home of Mr. Festus Akingbaso, the running partner for governor of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The APC received 14,157 votes in the Ifedore LG, defeating the PDP, who received 5,897.
The APC received 8,163 votes in Ondo East LG, more than the PDP, which received 2,843 votes.
APC 16,600, PDP 4,442 in IleOluji/OkeIgbo LG, and APC 9,114, PDP 8,940 in Idanre LG.
However, a PDP agent claimed that there was no voting in Ofosun Oniseri in the Idanre Local Government Area.
Additionally, he said that there was ballot stealing at Alade.
According to him, the ward’s votes ought to be removed from the LG’s total.
The APC received 17,117 votes in Irele Local Government, whereas the PDP received 6,601. The PDP received 5,517 votes in Akoko South West, while the APC received 29,700.
According to the Owo Local Government Area results, the APC received 31,914 votes, defeating the PDP’s 4,740.
The APC received 20,755 votes in the Ondo West LG, compared to 6,387 for the PDP.
The APC received 12140 votes in the Akoko South East LG, compared to 2692 for the PDP.
The APC received 25010 votes in Akoko North West, while the PDP received 5502.
With a total of 16555, the APC also won Ose LG, while the PDP received 4472. The APC received 32969 votes in Akure South LGA compared to the PDP’s 17926.
The APC received 25657 votes in Akoko North East, compared to the PDP’s 5072.
Following the results of the 13th LG, Akinwumi stated that collation will resume by 5 a.m., at which point the results of the final five local government areas would be made public.
