I’m not rich yet allow me settle – BBNaija winner Kellyrae

Big Brother Naija Season 9 “No Loose Guard” winner Kellyrae has expressed his frustration over the cascade of financial assistance requests from family and friends after he publicly disclosed that he gave his wife Kassia a huge gift of N55 million from his N60 million prize money. 

On October 6th, 2024, KellyRae beat other finalists including; Wanni, Sooj, Anita, Kellyrae, Nelly, Ozee, Onyeka, and Victoria, and won the BBNaija 2024 edition and by extension went home with N100 million grand prize & brand new SUV jeep.

Kellyrae revealed in an interview “Hero’s Therapy” hosted by media personality, with media personality Hero Daniels that he has been barraged with requests from acquaintances seeking a share of his winnings.

“I was receiving calls from people close to us after I said I gave Kassia N55 million, and they were asking for their own share of my prize money,” he lamented.

In the interview, he pleads with the netizens to stop begging him for money asserting that he is not a rich man yet.

KellyRae further urged people to stop asking him for money, highlighting how expensive things have become. He expressed gratitude for the love and support from his fans during the show, acknowledging them for helping him win the 2024 edition of Big Brother Naija.

In his words; “I’m not a rich man yet please, honestly, I don’t feel that way, so please guys, I’m not rich yet, common, things are expensive, even if it is crates of eggs I want to buy, how many crates of eggs will I buy with that, the money is big, I’m grateful but let brother settle.”
