The organisers unveiled Davido as part of this year’s class ahead of the induction ceremony scheduled for June 1 in Atlanta’s Historic Westside.

The recognition places the “Timeless” crooner alongside notable entertainment personalities honoured for their impact on Black culture and global music. Other inductees include Ludacris, Paul S. Morton, and Maynard Jackson.

The achievement also adds Davido to the list of African music icons previously recognised by the organisation, including late Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.

The Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame, created by the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus, celebrates individuals who have significantly influenced Black entertainment and music globally.

Davido’s latest recognition comes as he celebrates 15 years in the music industry. Reflecting on his journey, he recently wrote on X, “God is the best of all planners! 15 years in da game.”

Born in Atlanta, Davido began his professional music career in 2011 and gained widespread fame with “Dami Duro,” a hit single from his debut album, Omo Baba Olowo (2012).

Over the years, he has released several successful projects, including A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), Timeless (2023), and 5ive (2025), while also earning multiple international nominations, including three nods at the 66th Grammy Awards for Timeless.
