Portable Fires Back: “I Don’t Look Like Asake!”
Controversial Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, known professionally as Portable, has issued a stern warning to fans in a recent video regarding comparisons between his facial tattoos and those of Asake.
Recently, Naijaeyes reported that Asake, a former YBNL artist, captured attention with his new appearance while teasing a forthcoming song for his fans.
The facial tattoos on Asake led many to liken his appearance to that of American rapper Kodak Black. Some fans even went so far as to draw comparisons between him and Portable, who is famously recognized for his own facial tattoos.
However, in a fresh Instagram video released today, January 14th, 2025, Portable boldly stated that he does not resemble Asake but rather resembles the well-known American rapper Lil Wayne.
This comes after the “Zazoo Zeh” star faced online criticism for promoting his skincare line.
He indeed told the fans not to attribute him to Asake and all other artists who he called overrated. These people, according to him, copy his moves and style.
To quote him: “Stop comparing me with Asake; I don’t look like him, I resemble Lil Wayne. Stop comparing me with all those overrated-artistes. They are copycats, copying my style and doings.”
