Following the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine, a recent report has revealed that an airstrike from the Israeli armed forces has killed more than 10 Palestinians in a shelter where displaced families are.
According to reports by the medical team who were on the site for a rescue mission, 10 people, including women and children, were killed in a tent in Al-Mawasi, designated as a humanitarian area in western Khan Younis.
They also stated that 15 people were seriously injured from the airstrike and are currently receiving treatment.
Other reports from Hamas-run Al-Aqsa TV stated that the Director-General of Gaza’s police department, Mahmoud Salah, and his aide, Hussam Shahwan were also killed in the airstrike.
The war has been ongoing but the recent intensity was triggered by Hamas on October 7, 2023, in an attack on Israel, in which 1,200 were killed and another 251 taken hostage in Gaza.
Israel has since moved to kill over 45,500 Palestinians in the war in Gaza. And, most of Gaza’s 2.3 million people have been displaced and much of the tiny coastal strip is in ruins.
