Tinubu didn’t build Lagos; his government is failing – Lamido.
Former Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, has criticized President Bola Tinubu, stating that he did not build modern Lagos. In an interview with Channels Television’s “Politics Today,” Lamido argued that Lagos’ development was due to federal presence, not Tinubu’s governance from 1999 to 2007. He also claimed that Tinubu’s administration is failing to get things right in Nigeria.
Lamido dismissed the idea that Tinubu built Lagos, attributing the city’s infrastructure, such as the port, airport, and bridges, to federal investment. He rated the current government poorly, criticizing its management and projects like the Lagos-Calabar coastal road amid labor demands for a new minimum wage. Lamido believes that with prudent resource management, Nigeria could meet these wage demands.
