Miami police spokesman, Mike Vega, stated, “We are certain it did not happen on that corner where the car was found. This happened somewhere else, someone drove it there, left it and left on foot.”

El Taiger’s family and representatives confirmed his death in a heartbreaking statement shared on his Instagram page, saying, “Jose Manuel Carbajal, known as ‘El Taiger,’ was the victim of a senseless violent crime. Fans and members of the Miami community gathered at a makeshift memorial outside Jackson Memorial Hospital, where the singer was being treated, to pay their respects. Miami police are still investigating the circumstances of the shooting. One individual is being sought for questioning in connection to the case, but no arrests have been made yet. Investigators suspect El Taiger may have been shot elsewhere and later transported to the location where his car was found.
