Mark Angel took to his official Instagram page and shared how he lost money, narrating that he lost over $3.7 million (N5.7b) to forex, almost killing him.
Also, Mark revealed how the loss of more than $3.7 million (N5.7b) caused him to sink deeper into debts and felt like the whole world was crumbling as he lost everything to loan sharks.
Mark Angel said when he was trying to heal, a scandal hit him of an ex-colleague Denilson Igwe who called him out during an interview on popular Nedu’s podcast, while Emmanuella and Success left Mark Angel Comedy.
Mark Angel said this ordeal exposed fake friends, pretenders, and those who have been silently sabotaging his peace and circle.
Mark Angel, however, gives thanks to his friend called Blessing, his pastor and pastor’s wife, his daughter Victoria , his son, Schoolboy for standing and praying for him during the dark times in the year 2024.
Mark Angel wrote: “The year 2024 started like every other year, but I didn’t realize how much it would test me, how much it would break me, but at the end, it would remold me. It was the year that I lost everything. I trusted the wrong hands in forex and lost all my money. Nobody knew except my family and closest circle. The weight of the loss, over $3.7 million was suffocating. I was drowning in debts, and one by one, I watched all my properties slip into the hands of loan sharks. It felt like my world was crumbling, and in my darkest moments, I considered ending it all.
Apart from His mercies, I wouldn’t be here writing this note. He sent angels into my life when I really needed them. Blessing-my friend-who has turned into family has always been there for me. My pastor and his wife prayed and counseled me. Victoria and Mila brought memories of the beauty of life even when it was almost unbearable. My ex-wife Mandy gave a kind hand that I will definitely remember. My son, Schoolboy, has shown strength beyond age and Bright, my social media assistant has been that pillar in times when I thought I would collapse.
When I was in the middle of therapy to help me from the trauma, life threw a second hammer at me-a scandal that rocked and shattered every bit of my career and allegiance by those in my circles. But it was in that storm when God started exposing and unveiling the truth-the untrue ones, the pretenders, and a few other people that had been quietly sabotaging both my peace and my circle. This was sore but very necessary.
2024 was the most difficult for me in life, but it also brought me closer to God. From ashes, he has taught me endurance, faith, and, above all, the real meaning of grace. The fact that I am still here alive today has not gone unnoticed. To all those who kept me going in years when I could neither fold nor stand, thank you.
